Q. What kind of materials can I borrow and what are the loan periods?

Answer

  • Most printed materials can be borrowed with a library card.
  • Textbooks have a loan period of two weeks (14 days).
  • The short loan copies of textbooks have a loan period of one day or over the weekend (the books must be returned by 10 a.m. the following day the library is open, unless the following day is Saturday. In that case the book must be returned on the following Monday by 10 a.m.). Short loans cannot be renewed.
  • Books in the general collection have a loan period of four weeks (28 days).
  • Books in the school book collection have a loan period of four weeks (28 days).
  • Books in the reference collection can be borrowed overnight or over the weekend (they must be returned by 10 a.m. the following day the library is open).
  • The journals annot be borrowed
  • Newspapers cannot be borrowed.
  • The library also has some iPads you can borrow. The loan period of the iPads is two weeks. iPads cannot be reserved and the loans cannot be renewed.
